Equipment Needed
- Lung Sound Mannequin
- Gaumard VS100 Electronic Stethoscope
- Speakers (Optional)
Setup Process
- Optionally make sure the speakers are plugged into the bell of the Stethoscope by the Green speaker wire into the bell of the Stethoscope.
- Optionally make sure the speakers are powered, the "Puck", will glow blue.
- Optionally make sure the speakers volume is up, by scrolling the "Puck"'s wheel clockwise.
- Turn on the Stethoscope with the Power Button () on the bell of the Stethoscope. The LED will blink green when the unit is on. When the battery is low the power light blinks red. The unit will automatically power off after 6 minute of inactivity, or after 40 seconds of looking for a sound without success.
- Place the Stethoscope onto any sticker point on the Mannequin and wait up to 5 seconds for it to read, and play the audio.
How to Use
There are 9 locations (7 unique sounds) on the Anterior surface, there are 4 locations (1 unique sound) on the posterior surface. These locations are numbered on a laminated placard that is attached to the Stethoscope. There is an addtional button on the bell of the Stethoscope that changes sounds () and the LED will change colors to match the set of sounds found on the laminated placard. Press and hold the button to change the sound set.
Locations & Colors
The header below is the color of the LED when you press the sound () button. The color displayed will allow you to hear the noted sounds at the indicated locations.
